Website Contributors Training and ERA Big Map Collaboration – Zoom Event

Goal:

This is an open workshop collaboration session featuring four components:

1. Global Earth Repair’s tech coordinator Brendan McNamara will offer a session describing the process and lining individuals and organizations out on becoming WordPress website contributors on this website.
2. Ecosystem Restoration Alliance co-founders Jon Schull and Charles Shore will talk about their collaborative ARCGIS “Big Map of Ecosystem Actions” around the world.
3. Networking Collaborations regarding connecting big map and its data to deeper integration with posts and pages on the GERF site.
4. Open Discussion and networking collaboration until session end. Breakouts if requested.

This is an open offering, free event, but we ask that you respect the speakers and the discussion process. There will be time for brief introduction circle (30sec each) at the beginning and brief follow-up longer intros and reactions (3min) after the first 3 main items but before open discussion. We need to keep to a “talking circle” style protocol, while leaving some space for fun and openness, in order to respect the efforts of our contributors and attendees by honoring their time constraints.

Result

This session went as planned, with some added benefits. Discussed were the matters as presented in the goals, with the addition that we went into the nature of “entries” on the emerging ecology post web / map / social media matrix, which I’m calling for now the “earth repair webring”.
