The Earth Repair Foundation and Vision 2030

The Earth Repair Foundation (ERF), founded in Sydney in 1987 after its key members helped start Greening Australia, is a beacon in the global movement for environmental restoration and sustainability. With its roots deeply embedded in the early recognition of our planet’s environmental crises, ERF has evolved to champion the Earth Repair Charter and the Vision 2030 campaign, aiming to foster a global Decade of Peace from 2021 to 2030. This independent, self-funded NGO focuses on motivating worldwide adoption of sustainable practices, including permaculture principles, innovative no-dig composting techniques using recycled materials, and the establishment of eco-villages, thereby steering the global community towards a sustainable and peaceful future.

ERF’s multifaceted approach extends to educating and inspiring both current and future generations about the importance of environmental stewardship and healthy living. Through initiatives such as a comprehensive movie outline for 2030, multi-language sustainability learning posters, and advocacy for nutrient-dense diets, ERF aims to empower individuals and communities to contribute to Earth’s repair. By promoting the transformation of organic waste into valuable compost and supporting the growth of sustainable food systems, ERF not only addresses environmental degradation but also fosters a sense of global unity and cooperation towards achieving a healthier, more sustainable world.
