Cool the Climate with ARARA – Raising Funds to Restore the Rainforest

Dear friends and colleagues,

Please donate to the ARARA Project!  The fate of the whole world’s climate depends on the Amazon.  Rob de Laet and company have come up with a way to fund smallholders and Indigenous people in the Amazon to protect the rainforest and plant trees.  It would be a template for doing similar things in other parts of the world.  We need ARARA to succeed! Warm regards, – Michael Pilarski

And here’s a word from Rob himself:

Dear friends,

Tomorrow we launch a 30-day campaign to raise $175,000 to complete ARARA — our new restorative engine to protect and restore the Amazon Rainforest. The campaign will go wide tomorrow, but today I’m reaching out to a few close friends to ask a favor.

Early momentum is critical. If we can start tomorrow with donations already in place, it will inspire others to join us. Even a small gift today — $25 or more, $100, $500, whatever feels right — will help us show that the campaign already has traction when it goes public.

And the timing couldn’t be more powerful: today’s New York Times published an article confirming exactly what we’ve been saying — that deforestation in the Amazon is causing dangerous regional and global temperature rise. We are so excited to have this affirmation of our work, and tomorrow’s launch feels more urgent — and more hopeful — than ever.
