Workshop(s)

Workshop 1: Cross-Cultural Pollination: Creating Successful, Long Lasting Initiatives Abroad

Often people with the kindest of intentions unknowingly create havoc in international communities & indigenous cultures when trying to implement projects through their own agenda. What does it take to create long lasting, thriving, impactful initiatives abroad? Genuine relationships based on deep listening & intercultural communication, commitment to personal growth & expanding one’s own views, innovative action that models solutions & ignites other’s hearts within their own cultural context, and most importantly dedicated time and observation. In this workshop, Carolina Putnam of Reviveolution will share the silly mishaps, funny stories, and profound learnings of living the past 7 years in an indigenous family of the Q’ero Nation that led to successful eco-cultural initiatives in Peru.
