Workshop(s)

Workshop 1: Permaculture, Suburbia and Neighborhood Associations

Suburbia contains surprising assets and allies for its own repair. This presentation described real life examples of suburban repair, ranging in scale from a single property [20 years] to the block, neighborhood and eco village. Neighborhood associations and other city programs found in many
cities and towns were explored as a powerful tool for repair of homes, neighborhoods, economy and culture. Benefits explained.

Workshop 2: Title of presentation – Global Market Capitalism and How to Pay for Regime Change

Yes, we all know global market capitalism is not an ally for a green, resilient and peaceful world. This presentation explained several powerful yet seldom identified critiques of market capitalism. Attendees these these critiques to others, not so aware, why our economic system is not an ally for a green, resilient and peaceful world. Key words – external costs, economic mythologies, sector analysis. Closely related to the critique was how to pay for regime change from real life experience – how we spend, or do not spend our money. Avoiding external costs. The Double Benefit explained.
